On 22nd September, 1-2pm, we welcomed Fiona Garnett and Matthew Davies from Bedfordshire CCG to further capture and share their highly commended project in October 2019, under the Patient Safety category – primary care atrial fibrillation.
Fiona and Matt presented and shared their experience of undertaking a CCG wide audit on Atrial Fibrillation and anticoagulation and running Primary Care consultant led AF clinics.
In addition learning was shared on appropriate dosing of NOACs and a CCG wide approach to ensure the appropriate dosage; as well as changing to the lowest cost NOAC.
Fiona and Matt talked about the success stories as well as the lessons learned.
