This bulletin includes guidance on the review and withdrawal of inappropriately continued psychotropic medication for the control of behaviour, including antipsychotics, antidepressants, benzodiazepines, z-drugs, and mood stabilisers, for autistic people or people with a learning disability or both and people with dementia.
It is supported by various practical implementation tools, including the PrescQIPP 'Reducing inappropriate prescribing of antipsychotics for people with dementia and psychotropics for people with learning psychotropics for people with a learning disability, autistic people or both toolkit'.
